John W. Taylor of Hillsborough, NC, was a member of the Philanthropic Society. He was suspended for three months in May 1829 for indecent exposure, but the faculty reinstated him before his suspension was up. He left the University in 1832, evidently without receiving a degree, and sources are silent about his later career.
